The Pudding Inspectors

 The pudding inspectors
The pudding inspectors
They knock on your door
And lay down the law.

They rifle through your trifle
Check your custard
Cuts the mustard.
I’ve even seen them
Count the sprinkles.
Sitting on the cream.

The pudding inspectors
The pudding inspectors
They burst into rooms
Armed with their spoons.

How airy are your fairy cakes?
Would they go down well
With Tinkerbell?
They tape the squelch
That jelly makes
And send it to the lab.

The pudding inspectors
The pudding inspectors
Should all be put on trial.
There’s already a measure
For our puddingy pleasure
It’s simple
It’s a smile.

Inspiration

Why? Hacked off at inspection regimes and fond of puddings I suppose.

It might be more fun for you to think up why I wrote them.
